You can now add a stitch regulator to your Babylock sewing machine. Yes, that is right, a stitch regulator for your Babylock Ellisimo, Unity, Crescendo, Ellegante, Ellageo Plus, Esante or Symphony. WOW! This weekend, Feb 1-4, 2013 you can buy a TruStitch Regulator with 24 months 0% financing for qualified buyers at Humble Sewing Center. We have them in stock and ready to go. If you don’t have a Babylock, then you add the machine of your choice to your purchase and start free motion quilting today.
Imagine Free motion quilting with stitch regulation. I am doing just that. I now have my TruStitch Regulator setup on my Ellisimo. All I need is a little practice and I will be ready to tackle my first quilt with free motion quilting using the TruStitch Regulator.
As soon as I finish, I will post a photo of my first ever quilt using free motion quilting. I have always loved the look but have never been able to master the technique. With a stitch regulator and some patience on my part, I am sure that I will be create a beautiful quilt.
Until next time, happy quilting,
Do you need a thread catcher for your sewing room? I certainly do. I am constantly cutting threads and dropping them on the floor. The result is a vacuum roller with twisted threads that are very hard to remove. Now I have a thread catcher by every machine in my sewing room to remind me not to drop the threads on the floor.
Come to Embroidery Club this month and make your own Thread Catcher.
Thread Catcher & Pincushion
- 7 x 12 or 5 x 7 hoop
- fat quarter for fabric A (solid)
- fat quarter for fabric B (lining)
- 2 fat eighths for fabric C & D (accent)
- polyester fiberfill
- sand (optional) Needed to weight the pin cushion so that it will not fall of the table. I put my sand inside 2 small sandwich zip lock bags.
- 18” of boning
- tearaway stabilizer
- embroidery thread to coordinate with design
- 1 spool of sewing thread for assembling the thread catcher
In Your Sewing Room:
- Embroidery Machine, power cord and foot pedal
- Embroidery Hoop (make sure you bring the correct hoop size!)
- Sew Fun PROJECTS CD
- Printed template
- Sewing Machine Feet: Embroidery Foot, Regular Sewing Foot, Edge Stitching Foot
- Rotary Cutter & Mat
- Marking Pen or Chalk
- Embroidery Needle, size 75/11
- Universal Needle, size 80/12
